The Dearing Full Gospel Church Sanctuary was built in the mid to late 1950âs by Reverend Arthur Reeves. Brother Arthur was best known for riding through the community with a loud speaker on his truck shouting Jesus Saves and Praying. In the 1970âs the Church was sold to Reverend Hubert Haire Sr. Under Brother Hubert the Church added indoor restrooms and Sunday school rooms. The Church was then Pastored by Reverend Henrietta Smith, Reverend Edward Kitchens, and possibly others. In 1981 the church was sold to Reverend Eddie Renew. Brother Eddie desired for the Church to no longer be sold and therefore deeded the Church back to the Board of Trustees. During the 1980âs under Brother Eddie the Sanctuary was updated removing the old pot belly stove and installing central heat and air. The old Theater seats were removed and current pews were placed. Also, a fellowship hall was built along with an outdoor eating area. In the early 1990âs a small sound system was installed and a phone was placed. In 1996 Brother Eddie retired as Pastor and was given the position of honor as Senior Pastor. Reverend Victor Jason was selected as Pastor. During this time a larger fellowship hall was built and a larger sound system was installed. In June 1999 Brother Eddie appointed Reverend Jerry Rockefeller to assist him. In August 1999 Brother Jerry was formally selected as Pastor and got its first computer. In 2003 the Church expanded by adding larger restrooms. The Lord has a great vision for our future and we are excited about what the Lord is doing. We are a holiness church that is in conference with Mitchell Full Gospel. We currently have 120 on roll and have 75 average attendance on Sunday Morning. We hope you will come worship with us as the Lord makes history.
